Fitzgerald Copland Crossing
Copland Pass & Fitzgerald Pass Crossing
Join our guided trip on one of the finest crossing of the Southern Alps from East to West. From the Hooker Valley and Mount Cook to the rainforest of the West Coast. Stand on the Main Divide, the West Coast in reach and walk along the wild Copland river.
The Copland Pass Crossing (2150 metres/7050 feet) is an alpine trek from Mt Cook Village to the west coast of New Zealand’s south Island. This is a famous trek in New Zealand and was the traditional tramping route from Mount Cook to the west coast. This crossing route is a bit more challenging than the Fitzgerald pass.
